Floraveil Lantern

This lamp was designed for a project in my sophomore year Product Design class. The assignment was simply to design a lamp without any other constraints. I knew immediately that I wanted to design a biophilic lamp to illuminate abedroom space in a warm and elegant way during the evening, which is when I most often use lamps.

This lamp comes with two separate parts, the base with the light attached and the rectangular shade. This feature is for both function and beauty. The top part of this lamp is able to come off so that the light bulb can be changed when it dies while also allowing for the design to be rotated, meaning that the user can decide which flower design faces forward, away from the cord.

Each side of this lamp is completely unique, but with the same theme throughout.
